
Alison Barr
Alison Barr qualified as a solicitor in 1974 and, prior to joining Barr Ellison LLP in 2000, practised in Norfolk for over 20 years. Building on her previous experience, Alison joined Barr Ellison to head the Company / Commercial Department and became a partner in 2005. Alison has developed an enviable following of substantial clients.
In acting for such clients, Alison has acted:-
- In the formation and restructuring of many companies and Limited Liability Partnerships;
- As company secretary for two Public Liability Companies, including assisting in the flotation of a company on the Alternative Investment Market;
- In the sale, purchase and mergers of companies and businesses, dealing with share and asset sales and purchases;
- In setting up employee share option and share ownership plans;
- For a company in a round of business angel funding;
- In setting up and advising on partnerships in all their many complexities;
- In drafting and advising on terms and conditions of business and commercial contracts;
- In preparing and advising on software licences.
In addition, Alison continues to deal with commercial property transactions, specialising in blocks of flats and leasehold enfranchisement, on which she has lectured to commercial property professionals.
