
Judith Greensitt
Judith qualified as a solicitor in 1974 and joined Barr Ellison in 2003 as a specialist in Wills, Trusts and Probate matters. Judith has significant experience of administering high value estates. In addition, she has advised on, and implemented, post-death inheritance tax planning using Trusts and Deeds of Variation which can be used to redirect assets inherited under the terms of a will or intestacy.
Judith’s areas of expertise include:
- Services for the Elderly, in particular preserving home assets in the event of long-term residential or nursing care, and providing advice on financial responsibility and funding for long-term care, including NHS funded care
- Estate Planning using wills, trusts and lifetime gifts
- Probate and the administration of estates
- Trust administration
- Tax planning and advice
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection applications.
Judith has strong links with Addenbrooke’s Hospital and, via Barr Ellison’s on-site office, gives emergency advice and practical solutions to those whose current medical circumstances may require the immediate resolution of legal issues.
Judith graduated in 1971 with an Honours Degree in Law at Leeds University and is a member of:
- The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP),
- Solicitors for the Elderly, and
- The Probate Section of The Law Society.
